Scotland - Glasgow

" Say goodbye, walk away. Don't look back, so it won't hurt as bad."

It was a love and hate affair with Scotland. We love its beautiful and peaceful landscape, but at the same time it doesn't provide enough hype for youngster like us. Our 5 days Scotland tour is coming to an end. On the fourth day, we reached the final destination in our itinerary - Glasgow. It's the largest city in Scotland, a well-developed city with plenty of modern architectures, unlike other parts of Scotland which is hard to find even a grocery store.

We reached Glasgow in the evening before the sun sets, checked into the hotel and came out for a walk at night. We explored Buchanan Street, the home to many famous attire brands and also cafes.  I've never seen a 'Forever 21' independent store in such huge size!

It might not be obvious in the photos, but the windows of the shop below are covered with sewing machines! What a unique way to decorate a shop!

On the next morning, it was a free and easy day in Glasgow. We explored further, to our surprise, a castle-shaped Caffe Nero outlet exists in Glasgow! We ended up having a cup of coffee in the outlet, recharge ourselves before continuing our half day-long exploration of Glasgow.

Harrods is a department store with myriad of toys to choose from! Must be a heaven for kids because even us were feeling pretty happy while window shopping in it.

Hopefully kids will not pursuit their parents to buy this Swarovski's crystal-cladded Lamborghini Murcielago die-cast car! It costs a bomb!

We had a round of Starbucks before heading back to the bus and make our way back to Sheffield (for the very last time).

These wedding cars were parked just behind of our bus. What a classic way to have a wedding :)

On our final day in Sheffield, we gathered our stuff from the Big Yellow, did our last shopping for *super cheap* UK chocolates and food, and had our final sight at Sheffield before we bid goodbye to the beautiful land. Only God knows when we will step foot on it again. We have to travel all the way to the nearest airport, which is in Manchester, by train and it was a nightmare with all of our stuff trying to fit in any available space in the train.

"Aloha means goodbye, until we meet again in another summer..."

We left the UK solemnly, our grief expression were obvious when entering the custom check of the airport. While our body boarded the plane, our heart remained on the ground. 3 months of life in the UK has ended abruptly, knowing that working life awaits after reaching Malaysia...

WAIT!!! Our journey doesn't end here! We had a detour before touching down on Malaysia!

NEXT - Dubai!
